Make A Switch

Try this when packing for your next trip; it could save you a lot of frustration.

Before closing those suitcases make a switch of one set of clothing with your husband -- or other person you are going to be traveling with.

That if one of your suitcases should get lost  or misplaced you still will not get caught short of clothing while waiting for your lost suitcase to be located and returned.

Could make your trip a little more enjoyable.

Watch Those Yoga Poses

Oh, Oh, better watch how long you hold that yoga pose!

The practice of yoga has washed over North America like a huge Tsunami -- and it seems, like the literal tsunami, if you are not careful it can be destructive according to this evening's CTV news in Vancoauver. BC

It seems that at least some yoga poses if not done properly or held for too long can actually harm your body rather than help it.

For more information contact CTV news on channel 9.

The Key To A Successful Response

I saw a very catchy tag line on an advertisement  or Web site somewhere ( I actually forget where exactly) which had a very good reminder for handling any non-emergency or emergency situation.

What it said was:   "Listen. Reflect. Act" --  If we handle the first two properly -- then the success the third will be -- almost -- automatic.

Holes to Strengthen Eyes!

When your eyes get weak of course it is a good idea to buy a good set of glasses to see where you are going -- but there are other alternatives -- in some cases.

An acquaintance of mine recently resorted to glasses because she has trouble seeing where she is going when behind the wheel. A good move, as I admitted, and perhaps necessary in her case.

But  in many cases you can successfully strengthen your eyes with some of the naturopathic remedies, getting treatments from a reflexologist who can sometimes restore good eyesight through massage treatments.  Worth checking out.

Another solution you might want to check into is the special eype glasses you can purchase in some health food stores that have a material with small holes cut into it.

Believe it or not following the techniques or eye exercises recommended by the manufacturers of these special glasses can help to strengthen your eyes and restore lost vehicle.  Worth checking out again.

BPA Still A Threat in Packaging

BPA, which authorities say can cause catastrophic neurological problems,  is still a threat -- and apparently in the cans used to preserve many of our foods according to the Dr. Oz show today.

Many companies are using metal packaging that contains these deadly chemicals according to the Dr. Oz and an expert he had on the show today.

He says you can minimize some of your exposure to these chemicals by washing canned vegetables and fruit -- before using them.

Look Forwards and Backwards at Same Time

If  you live or work in potentially dangerous environments you might want to invest in a good pair of sun glasses that lets you keep an eye on whose behind you while working or walking.

Any good Spy shop (there are at least a half dozen in the Vancouver BC area) would carry these or perhaps be able to order them for you.

Failing that,  click on Eye Spy magazine  online or  buy a print copy at large book stores like Chapter or Indigo. This magazine regularly carries ads for such things in its advertising -- complete with instructions on how to order such equipment.
