Academic warns of unnecessary potassium iodide intake

  1. This particular message about being caution with self medication of iodine is from Thailand, but the same need to use caution in this type of thing applies to everyone.

    It seems that many people, in cluding many as far away as British Coloumbia in Canada are very fearful of radiation poisoning -- and justly so -- but still don't get carried away and make decicisions about whether to treat yourself with iodine before discussing this with your family physician or other health care provider.
