Protect Yourself From Scams

If  all the promises of wealth through inheritances and job and investment opportunities I received through the Internet and other sources I'd be right up with the sharks on the Shark Tank right now, but alas everyone has been a scam.

Many people, especially when they find themselves in desperate financial conditions, fall for these and up in even more desperate situations.

You can protect yourself from these things, however, by checking  out suspicious -- and even not so suspicious offers -- first on such sites as   The Canadian Anti Fraud Centre.

Just click on www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca. This particular site will  show you how you can protect yourself and report scams  and give you a good idea of the wide scope of the problem.

Some of the information includes warnings about such things as
on-line auctions and shopping scams; romance scams; hitman scams (designed to frighten and scam consumers); Facebook scams and others as well as "fighting fraud on the front lines" featuring advice on how to avoid becoming a victims of debit card, identity theft, and other types of scams.

Definitely worthwhile to check out.
